A distributor of various musical instruments, including the 'banjo uke', Bruno(C. Bruno & Son, Inc.) was in a brief partnership with C.F. Martin while in New York City as early as 1834, until Martin moved to Nazareth, Pennsylvania in 1838.
Some of Bruno's distributed banjo uke 'brand' names were, 'The Vernon' and the more widely known brand, 'Maxitone'.
