Swiss Picks™
What can I say about Swiss Pick™ guitar picks? Well, I really really REALLY love them. But that's no surprise to me. When I first saw them on the internet during a recent search of new & innovative guitar picks they popped right up & I was immediately drawn in. I love the idea of different & unique grip picks. I always have. And I use them frequently when playing. So when I saw all the little grip holes on these picks I thought, 'I gotta have them'!! I was very pleased when I received them and became aware that they weren't just a flat pick with holes. The border around the holes is actually slightly raised, which gives them an added bonus that normal grip picks don't really possess.
Pete Punckowski was amazingly helpful as well as generous. I asked him about the picks and he was very friendly and professional. He sent me every pick currently produced under the Swiss Picks™ brand name. I knew I would immediately take to these little gems but I didn't know it would happen so quickly. It's so easy to hold on to these things no matter what side of the pick you use. And take my word for it--using the top part of the pick w/high distortion is chilling. And....badass. I mean the end opposite of the tip. I have to say I prefer the jazz minis because I tend to use smaller picks in my playing. That's not to say I never use standard 351s--I just have to be in the 'mood' for them if that makes any sense.
My other favorite which is no surprise to anyone who knows me is the new glow-in-the-dark model. Something about glow-in-the-dark stuff that has always fascinated me ever since I was a kid. The gauges offered satisfy my need for varying heavy gauges I need from time to time in my playing. I've always preferred a thicker gauge. Though I gotta say, the yellow 0.80mm is surprisingly stiff for its' thickness. It 'feels' more like a 1.0mm to me. And that's definitely a good thing!
If you prefer either delrin or polycarbonate, Swiss Picks™ can satisfy your needs. I can't rave enough about these. And I'm so glad I now have them. They are not only innovative & totally useful, but I find them aesthetically pleasing. I mean....who doesn't love cheese??!!
