Herdim

Picture
Herdim(Hermann Dick Markneukirchen), was founded at the beginning of the 20th century.

In Markneukirchen Germany, 1848, the maker of woodwind instruments, Johann Friedrich Dick founded a company for the manufacture and trading of musical supplies and accessories. His son, Heinrich, gained control of the business in the 1900s and quickly built up the export business. The company published multilingual catalogs(such as the one pictured above) and began exporting them to all continents.

The company Dictum(named after Heinrich Dick) was formed in 2011, and unites the two brand names of 'Dick' and 'Herdim'. Dictum manufactures tools and knives for kitchen use. 'Dick' represents the tool line, while 'Herdim' focuses on instrument making.
